Event Description

This advanced training session with John Preston, Psy.D. will equip participants with 25 effective strategies to develop and strengthen positive emotional habits with their clients. Mood regulation is strongly influenced by emotional habits. This workshop will focus on strengthening and maintaining well-being through proven methods including: research on resiliency, adaptive emotional habits, the neuroscience of positive emotions, cultural and spiritual traditions and positive psychology. The insights and interventions apply to a wide range of presenting problems including but not limited to anxiety, depression, panic attacks, cravings/addictions, overwhelming stress, rage/ aggression, painful emotional issues, traumatic life events and maladaptive emotional habits. Participants will be introduced to advanced techniques that will empower both professionals and their clients to adopt healthy mood regulation techniques, increase their sense of vitality, overcome serious illnesses, foster optimal brain regulation, improve cognitive functioning and enhance their overall quality of life and personal well-being.
