DURHAM YOUTH JUSTICE COMMITTEE (YJC): An alternative to the court system, for young people 12 to 17yrs who have been accused of minor non violent offences * a panel of trained community members volunteering to work with young offenders, their families, victims, the legal system and the community find appropriate, meaningful consequences for the young person
