The Youth Centre
The Youth Centre is a community health centre offering free and confidential medical services, counselling, young parent support, outreach and health and wellness programs for youth living in Ajax and Pickering * free and confidential services, specializing in youth
Medical services: weekly appointments, walk-in clinics, evening hours provided by Nurse Practitioners and Physicians, on-call assistance available round the clock for registered clients
Dietitian services: one on one or group support to focus on every aspect of healthy eating and weight management, with a Registered Dietitian
Counselling services: individual and group counselling, early intervention program for youth facing symptoms of depression
Parent Support: parenting teens program, on-line program, single session consultations, parent and teen workshops
Youth Outreach services: reaching out to under-serviced youth in the community, mobile, connecting clients with the services and supports they need
Young Parent Support: for young moms aged 26 and under with children age 3 and under, Food 4 Thought prenatal and postnatal nutrition program, Babysteps, a parenting program and individual support from a Dietitian, Registered Nurse and Health Promoter
Community Health: Health Promoters working with the community to offer health promotion programs and services, substance use awareness, mental health, sexual health, physical activity and nutrition
