This workshop has two parts. The first half is on conceptualizing and treating anxiety disorders from an Ericksonian perspective. Dr. Milton Erickson was a Master Psychotherapist of all time. He was famous for treating individuals with complex issues with innovative interventions.
The second half is on creating emotional impacts in treatment sessions by applying principles of various art forms. Humans have been moved by arts for thousands of years, may it be music, poetry, theatre, sculpture, dance, or photography. When principles from arts are used in counseling or psychotherapy sessions, messages from the counselor or psychotherapist become more impactful and are more effective in changing the behaviours of the clients.
Techniques taught in this workshop can be integrated into your current practice no matter what your counseling or psychotherapy orientation is. Upon completion of the workshop, you will get a Certificate of Attendance indicating that you have received 12 hours in training for psychotherapy.
Rates are $385 for professionals and $315 for graduate students. Spaces are limited. Register asap to avoid disappointment. Deadline for registration is Friday, March 7, 2014.
