We embrace the alternative learning style by engaging in activity-based learning. We provide students with quality education that caters to their learning style and needs as well as their parents’ wishes. Each student has an individualized curriculum plan and receives individualized instruction. This ensures each child is learning at his/her own rate, and are having their interests incorporated into standard subjects. We specialize in students with learning disabilities and those who are having other troubles in the traditional school environment. We limit desk work to be no more than two hours per day. Our program is excellent for students with learning disabilities as we spend the majority of our day learning through activities and play. Our staff is trained in regards to special education. We accept students of all ages. Riverdale operates as a non-profit organization, and as a result, we are pleased to offer affordable rates. The academy is located in Barrie, Ontario.
