If you are reading this page, it means you or somebody who is close to you is experiencing difficulties with time management, organization, task initiation and completion, forgetfulness, impulsivity or emotional regulation. Attention and executive functioning related difficulties affect up to 12% of the adult population, which means that you are not alone. Deficits in attention, concentration and executive function skills can interfere with one or many areas of life, such as work, school, or home life, and it can also negatively affect parenting or couples’ relationships.
This program is focused on teaching participants EF compensatory skills to improve their functioning in life domains that are affected by ADHD. You will learn:
How to make peace with the diagnosis;
The ins and outs of time management, such as awareness of time, scheduling, prioritization, to do list, contingency planning, etc;
How to make tasks more manageable;
How to set up and maintain an organizational system;
The tricks of self-motivation; and
How to overcome external and internal (emotional and cognitive) obstacles to reach successful outcomes;
The program includes psycho-education, individual work, group discussions, and practice assignments to promote change and the implementation of strategies in real life situations.
You do not need to have a formal diagnosis of ADHD to participate!

This 8-session Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) program was adapted from Mary V.
