HAPPY PLACES, HAPPY PEOPLE: CONFERENCE ON NEIGHBOURHOOD ENVIRONMENT AND MENTAL HEALTH, held on Friday, January 28th, 2011, at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute in Montreal.

Mental health research has traditionally focused on individual-level characteristics, but there is growing interest in the broader determinants of mental health. Neighbourhood research is an emerging field which promises new insights into mental health promotion.

This unique one-day conference will gather national and international experts in the field of neighbourhood research and mental health. They will discuss their recent findings and some of latest methods to study neighbourhood effects.
