Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health
The Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health is an urban health centre that: Provides quality, holistic, culturally-relevant health services to Inuit, Métis and First Nation communities of Ottawa; Engages in clinical, social, economic and cultural initiatives that promote the health of all Aboriginal people; Promotes community-building through education and advocacy; Serves as a centre of excellence for urban Aboriginal health.

Programs include:
* Working Hope program, which connects at-risk and distressed Aboriginal youth with culturally based mental health and addictions supports in their community. Serves youth aged 5-24.
* Individual and group counselling for men and women in crisis, addictions counselling and historical trauma
* Couples counselling,
* Child and family art therapy
* Traditional healing
* Psychoeducation
Special Services During Pandemics (e.g. COVID/Corona), Disasters and Related Emergencies
Mental Wellness Services * Same day walk-in crisis counselling appointments are available in person or by phone. * Advocacy, referrals, service navigation and assistance with the Children's Aid Society are available in person or by phone. * Addiction support services are available in person or by phone. * Need mental wellness support during business hours? Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health Walk-in Counselling Clinic
Wabano’s Mental Health Walk-in Counselling is a free counselling service for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit clients of any age or gender. It offers the same day short-term mental health/wellness support for you and/or your family. There is no referral or appointment necessary to access Walk-in Counselling service.
