Centre for Treatment of Sexual Abuse and Childhood Trauma (CTSACT) |
Registered, not-for-profit organization established to provide a range of comprehensive services for individuals who have experienced sexual abuse or other kinds of trauma. Trauma includes: physical, emotional or sexual abuse; separation or divorce; chronic or terminal illness; loss of employment; death in the family; accidents or injuries; substance abuse in the family; challenging life transitions; witnessing violence; any other expeience that has caused physical or emotional distress. Therapists are trained in areas including: post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); EMDR; depression; anxiety disorders; dissociative disorders; grief and loss; relationship issues; addictions; self-injurious behaviours; eating disorders; gender issues. Therapy is provided for: children, adolescents, adults; couples, families; members of First Nations and Inuit communities; members of gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender communities.
