Issues of identity and intimacy in intimate relationships are crucial for all ages. Early life, especially within our family of origin, bestows both identity and intimacy upon us, giving us guidelines or “internal working models” of identity and intimacy in our future relationships.In order to promote the sharing of knowledge among professionals and/with the general public on such important issues, the Sisters of Our Lady of the Cross Chair in Christian Family Studies (Saint Paul University) and the Institut de Pastorale des Dominicains à Montréal organize an international conference under the theme: Identity to build, intimacy to live: a challenge for families.
