Event Description

During the pandemic, front line providers reported an increase in addiction-related behaviours within families. This has led to an increase in the demands for mental health support.

This workshop is geared towards therapists and counsellors who want to understand addiction-related behaviours and the impact on families. Get strategies to help clients affected by another person's problematic substance use and behaviour.

Discussion will also focus on strategies and resources that therapists can use to support this demographic. An open discussion and case study exercises are included.

Upon the completion of this workshop, participants will have a clearer understanding of:
- Chemical vs Process or Behavioural Addictions
- Codependency vs Prodependence
- Treatment Approaches
- Resources & Referral Sources
