Hi, I'm Regine, I completed my graduate program in the family counselling program at Tyndale Seminary. I then continued my clinical practicum at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center within the trauma and acute unit.
During my time at the trauma and acute unit, I met with patients, couples, and families to understand the challenges that they face and helped them in navigating the network of support available to them. Through these experiences, I found my passion for supporting individuals, couples, and families in rebuilding and reclaiming their strengths after a significant life change/event.
Nurturing and rebuilding a healthy relationship with ourselves, others, and families is one of the most important contributors to life satisfaction. My areas of focus include grief counselling, working with couples and families, understanding mental health diagnoses, and coming up with plans to cope and build resilience from a family perspective.
After taking some time off as a first-time mom, I am now returning back to the field of psychotherapy with a deeper understanding and compassion for many couples and families' everyday struggles.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, walking, chatting, playing music, and embracing the idea of being an “organic learner” – paying attention to little things I learn as a first time mom.
If you are interested in working with me, please do not hesitate to reach out for a free consultation with me to discuss what may be helpful for you at this time in your life.
